My name is Kevin Willmorth. The above image is a selfie taken with a Pentax SLR of a corroded dorm room mirror in 1978. My work in photography and graphic design began in 1977 as a Specialist in the USAF as NCOIC in charge of Graphics. This led to several positions in design and marketing and the creation of Lumenique, LLC in 1987.
I've been a lifetime enthusiast for mechanical, motorcycle and autotive subjects, where I now focus my primary effort.
While my first photographs were captured with Graflex film cameras, Brown copy cameras, 35mm SLR, and Linhoff 4x5, processing the film and making prints in a darkroom... today, everything I do is accomplished digitally, from image capture through post processing using the latest in software. I utilize a Canon R5 Mirrorless Full Frame Camera, and occasionally a Canon G7 MkIII compact camera for tight spots. All images are captured in RAW format, which are processed to create high quality images to meet customer requirements.
While many photographers will crank out 150+ images in a couple of hours and be on their way, I take my time working with customers and capturing images. In most cases, the time requred to properly complete a vehcile with 150+ images is between 4 and 5 hours. I don't judge productivity on how quickly I can rush through an assignment. Rather, I judge my work effort based on satisfying customers through delivering more than they expect.
If you are interested in working with me to see your image requirements met, please drop me an email or call at your leisure. I look forward to working with you!
Customer s make purchase decisions by what they see, often without ever experiencing the product itself first hand. This is why photography is such a critical component in marketing.
While available devices (smart phones) capture snapshots as a low cost approach - the end result is less compelling and has weaker impact than is captured by a professional photographer using proper equipment. Professional photography combines artistry in framing, lighting, and staging the subject to maximize impact, with apropriate equipment and software to develop high quality images. Professional images are more detailed, cleaner and sharper.
Short cuts in photography mean little if the product does not sell against competitors with better imagery. In auction and specialty automotive markets, low quality images present a less favorable perception that leads to significant reduction in value captured, lack of sales and weak bid performance.
Competition is tough. A lesser product with great presentation prevails over a superior choice with poor visual presence. In the world of on-line visual marketing, you need to present the best visual front you can afford.
Lumenique is here to provide you compelling images necessary to succeed, at a cost that is affordable to the grass roots enthusiast and specialty dealers alike.
