Specifications
This is one of the easiest products I have made so far. It uses LynkLabs new sconce module, which is easier to integrate into a fixture than a CFL lamp. In this case, I installed their BriteDriver 12VAC power supply behind the back plate, applied the LED strip to the front with thermal tape. Wiring is accomplished with a simple wire trap, no soldering was used anywhere. The lens is an off-the shelf item I had around for 15 years. Thermal control is managed by the copper back plate that has 44 sq. inches of surface area, with roughly 75% exposed to free air - enough to effectively dissipate the 4 watts the module produces.
